DokiDokiPostBox

DokiDokiPostBox App for iPhone
When I was young people had pen-pals.  Someone you wrote to in some far off place in the world.  You never met.  You just chatted via post cards.  This application is a digital version of that.  You write a short message on a digital postcard.  You indicate whether you want it sent to a male, female or either.  You say whether you'd like it sent to someone locally or worldwide, then it sends it off.  You never know who is going to get your card.  When they do, they may send you one back!  You can make friends from across the world.
The first thing you do is select your gender.  You do not need to create an account.  You don't need a username, or password.  no need to supply 'any' personal information (Aside from the gender bit).  It knows what part of the world you are in from your phone, and everything is synced to your phone.  You can choose to anchor the app to your email.  This allows you to keep your information, should you change phones.  But it is completely optional.  You also have the option of setting up a password, in case you don't want people seeing what you've got in your inbox (Other people who may have access to your phone).
Once you're at the main screen write a new message!  Click the Write button and type something in to introduce yourself to your future friend!   You don't need to state your name, but I find it to be practical.  You could however use a nick name if you feel safer that way.  You can list things you enjoy, hobbies, interests, occupation, age... Anything you might like your new friend to know about you.  Don't worry about language.  If you are sending it worldwide you might fear that the person who gets it may not speak English.  This is not an issue.  They have a built in translation system.  So anyone can read what you've written (Provided you spell correctly).  When it comes to programs and websites, forums, anyplace where people who speak different languages gather, I can not stress enough proper spelling.  if someone needs to translate what you are saying, it wont correctly translate misspelled words.  So try "Hello, my name is Sarah.  How are you?" rather than "hai im sarah how r u?" It makes a world of difference.
Then we play the waiting game!  it could take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours to get a new postcard in your inbox.  It may be a reply to the card you sent, or a brand new message that was sent out and happened upon your box.  If it is in a language you don't understand, click the icon in the top corner of the card that has the different language characters on it.  It will translate it to your language.  Don't forget to reply to your new friend!  if you can't reply right away, click the "keep" button.  This will save the message so you can respond later.  You can keep up to 10 messages at a time.  once you have replied to a letter you kept, it will disappear.  In fact, all messages you reply to disappear.  You wont be able to see them again unless the other user replies and sends it back.
If you can't remember what you said before, you can scroll up to read all of the previous messages sent between the two of you.  You can only do this when they send you a new response.
If you feel the person talking to you isn't the sort of person you want to be friends with, you can put their postcard in the trash.  That ends your connection with them.  if you find them to be vulgar, violent, or otherwise off-putting, you can report the message by clicking the alarm button on the bottom right.
I think this is a very clever application idea.  And don't worry about being too old.  Everyone I have met so far has been in their 20s.  Though I am sure there are younger users too (Just not replying to me, apparently).  This is an app for all ages and both genders.  I recommend it to anyone wanting to practice their reading of foreign language.  Or just wants a pen-pal to chat with.

  3. The bail bonds services in Dallas TX deliver the quality work. A bail bond company, on behalf of an individual seeking release from jail, posts a sum of money with a court or law enforcement agency in order to get an accused party released until their trial date. The money paid to get someone out of jail and awaiting trial is called a "bond."
