I've always been a fan of Boggle and other word/vocabulary games. So I was really happy to find one on the free market.Pop words is a Boggle style game. You have a time bar on the left side, a level bar on the right. It lists your points in green and how many words you have created in blue. it tells you your current level at the top. When you create enough words and earn enough points to fill the level meter you will go up to the next level. Try and beat your own score and get more words! bigger words will give you more points.
A word must be 3 letters or more. the letters must be touching in sequence. For example on the board shown... Second row, second column H, followed by the O to the right, M to the bottom, E diagonal to the left and either diagonal S would spell 'Homes'. The letters are all touching in that order.
When you level up your time bar will fill back up as well to give you more time to find more words. So you want to keep leveling. If you can not come up with more words by the time the timer bar empties it's game over.
I wish they would add a reset button. Sometimes you end up using all of your vowels and can not make any words. There should be a way to reset the board when this happens to give you the chance to make more words.When the game ends it will give you your final level and score. It tells you how many words you found and what your highest point words were.
When you "play again" you start from the beginning. You can not start from "last level" or anything like that. This is a good way to test your vocabulary skills. Try not to keep finding the same words.
I find this to be an enjoyable free game. It's nice to play a game that makes you think.
